Full of Scraps!

Last week on “The Adventures of Glitter Girl” at 2Peas, Shimelle challenged viewers with different ways to use up their scraps. Knowing that I had a TON of scraps at home {that I have been using a lot of} I wanted to work with one of the strategies to make a new scrappy layout.

The first strategy that she gave was to use small strips to frame out a set of photos. I grabbed three vertical pictures from my wedding photos and then went through my stash to grab all the red, cream, and black scraps that I could find as those were my wedding colors and would match the photos.

All of my scraps were cut at 1″ x 4″ and tucked a bit behind the photos before I started to embellish. I loved the look of clustering objects and have really been working on that a lot lately. I also liked how she wrapped the twine around the bottom of the page to “tie” things together. I did the same with some twine from The Twinery. I just taped the ends down on the back to secure it.

This was one of my QUICKEST layouts recently as it came together in about 30 minutes. I love the look of it and am so happy to be working on more of my wedding layouts. We celebrate our 3 year anniversary in just a week and I am so excited! 🙂
